Bill Ford steps down

Replacing him is 61-year-old Alan Mulally, previously the boss of Boeing's commercial aircraft division. Ford stepped down as part of a major management reshuffle designed to reverse the ailing fortunes of the world’s third largest car manufacturer.

Mercedes-Benz considering Aston Martin buyout

Mercedes-Benz is reportedly considering a deal to buyout sports car manufacturer Aston Martin, fuelling rumours that the canned Aston Martin Lagonda SUV concept from 2009 (pictured above) could once again be back on. The move would see Merc increase its current 5% stake in the British brand following a deal announced last year to supply AMG engines for Aston’s next generation of sports cars. Jaguar C-X16 - the new Jaguar XE We’ve been running stories on Jaguar’s spiritual successor to the E-Type – the Jaguar XE – for what seems like an eternity. Now, finally, the reality starts to catch up with the expectation  with the release of a single sketch of the  Jaguar C-X16 ‘production concept’ car.
