Condition:Used

I am selling my 2008 shifter kart as a roller. Has a brand new gas tank (had 1 gallon run through it), completely rebuilt front and rear calipers and master cylinders aka brake pumps with the only issue being the right front caliper needs to be replaced (caliper bore anodizing worn and no longer seals when brakes are applied) It held for a few races but rest of the braking system is rock solid. These pictures were taken after blowing the dust off with air so imagine how nice it will be after it is cleaned up!

This is a beautiful kart and has served me very well, never wrecked and only selling due to financial difficulties. It will come with rebuild kits for brakes, new front pads and all the plastics. Will NOT include data acquisition or engine.

SEMA ups scholarship money for car-crazed college kids

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

The Specialty Equipment Market Association, better known to most of us as SEMA, has announced a hefty boost to its SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund for 2013: The top student selected now gets $1,000 more for a total of $5,000 toward an automotive-related college education. Other eligible participants in four-year programs get $3,000—last year, they only received $2,000—and two-year students get their funds doubled to $2,000. In the Buckeye State, one lucky student at the Ohio Technical College will get complete tuition coverage, which is a cool $29,400.

BMW 5-series is in line for the company's new triturbo diesel engine

Wed, 23 Nov 2011

Details leaked from a dealer conference held in Holland this week suggest that BMW's upcoming 550dX will be the first recipient of the German carmaker's new high-tech triturbo 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine. The new engine, which also is destined for the new X5 xDrive50d and X6 xDrive50d models, is claimed to produce 376 hp and more than 516 lb-ft of torque--some 70 hp and more than 74 lb-ft more than the most powerful version of BMW's existing twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine, as found in the X5 xDrive40d. The radical new engine, which is rumored to use two traditional exhaust-blown turbochargers in combination with an electrically driven turbocharger to add low-end response, is planned to be offered exclusively with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive.
