Bernie likes to make an amusing point or two when he commissions his Christmas cards, and this year is no different. Last year saw Bernie dig at Max Mosley and his ‘Recreational’ habits, and this year he picks the story of F1 2009 as its theme.

Cars recalled in fire risk alert

MORE THAN 400 recently-bought Peugeot and Citroen cars are being recalled in the UK due to a possible fuel leak and fire risk. Affecting models including the Peugeot 208 and 308 and the Citroen C4, the recall is necessary as during manufacture the high-pressure fuel rail pipes were not tightened correctly. This may have resulted in poor sealing of the rail and fuel leaking on to the engine, which could result in an engine bay fire.

Gleagle GC7

The Gleagle GC7 from Geely is an evolution of a former model but is the first product launched under the new Gleagle brand name since it was announced in 2010. The GC7's upward-curved headlamps run out of the corners of the large center grille, while the side of the car has a strong feature line that runs down the whole body, serving to visually extend the car in side profile. The rear is again wholy conventional but appears neatly resolved.
