New Volvo tease for Frankfurt – is it a modern P1800 Coupe? (video)
Mon, 26 Aug 2013New Volvo tease for Frankfurt (pictured) Is it a modern P1800? We really didn’t have anything completely new and radical on the radar from Volvo for the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, but if this teaser video from Volvo is anything to go by, we could be in for a surprise. Volvo has released a new video to tease something new at Frankfurt which is mainly a designer sketching and Volvo’s Head of Design - Thomas Ingenlath - standing with his arms folded.
Seat Leon [w/Gallery]
Mon, 16 Jul 2012This is the all-new, third-generation Seat Leon C-segment hatchback. At 4,2600mm long, the 2013 Leon is approximately 50mm shorter than the previous model although the wheelbase has increased by almost 60mm, reducing the length of the overhangs and improving interior space, particularly for rear seat passengers and luggage compartment. Seat's latest design language can be seen in the angular headlamps featuring full LED lamps for the first time in this class.
How will you get to work in the year 2030?
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Imagine a future where New Jersey adopts mass public transit and on-demand jitneys; Boston becomes hyper-dense and walking becomes the primary means of transport; Atlanta disperses even further and relies on solar power, electric cars and Google connected technologies to manage mobility; and Los Angeles tries autonomous cars, but finds the transition difficult, and its gridlock even worse. These are the scenarios proposed in a new study by New York University's Rudin Center for Transport Policy and Management. The report, which proposes scenarios rather than making predictions about the future of transportation in the US, repeatedly points to connected car technologies, autonomous cars and logistics networks as driving forces in regional mobility solutions.
