Purchased new gauge thinking that was the problem, but it was actually the sender. Bought new sender and solved problem. Removed new gauge and installed old one and everything worked fine. Marina will not take trim gauge back. Paid $36.99 plus tax asking $30. Face has tiny scratch but hardly noticeable. Feel free to contact me with any questions through ebay. Thanks for looking.
