The ultimate man cave item. A tail rotor blade from a Sikorsky Helicopter.
The serial number starts off 61-V. A Sikorsky S-61 is a Sea King Helicopter, it is my belief that this came from a Royal Navy Sea King Helicopter. Google Royal Navy Sea King Tail Rotor and you will find photos of very similar looking of not identical rotor blades. That is my best guess, this was a garage sale find and my knowledge of helicopter parts would fit in a thimble.
There are numerous part numbers, serial numbers, drawing numbers, etc stenciled on the blade.
There is also a Sikorsky repair tag. The blade was made 1-19-80 and repaired 3-26-83. The blade measures 49" long and is 7 1/2" wide.
I also have a second blade up for auction which is different from this one, it is pictured in the last photo.
