Nissan to show GT-R crossover in Sao Paulo?
Thu, 18 Oct 2012Nissan has teased a concept car to be unveiled later this month at the Sao Paulo motor show in Brazil with two renders. It's hard to tell what format the car is, but these obscured images could show a GT-R-branded coupe/SUV crossover designed specifically for the Brazilian market. This would make sense in a market where rugged SUVs with high ground clearance for sub-standard roads are so commonplace.
De Tomaso assets being brokered
Wed, 07 Jan 2009The De Tomaso brand and factory are up for grabs It’s true to say that the De Tomaso brand, probably the most significant of the unused Italian Supercar Marques, has been hawked round the world for years. But this document puts up some real detail, and pictures of the sad decline of a once successful (particularly in the U.S.) supercar maker. De Tomaso was, for a time, a great blend of Italian style and American muscle, but it lost its way badly many years ago and, despite a few attempts to resurrect it, De Tomaso has been off the scene for a long time now.
There's a 2015 Ford Mustang convertible on the way, too
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Almost immediately after the Ford Mustang debuted, buyers could choose from three body styles -- a hardtop, a rag-top convertible and a fastback (which actually came out a few months later than the hardtop and convertible). We already knew that the 2015 Mustang will arrive as a fastback (sorry, notchback partisans), but Ford has just announced that a drop-top version is also in the works. Pictures of the convertible sport a shiny "5.0" badge on the side and and chrome "GT" badge on the back, but we assume all the standard engines -- the 5.0-liter V8, 3.7-liter V6 and that new 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo-four -- will be offered.
