Aston Martin V12 Zagato – the video
Thu, 16 Feb 2012Aston Martin V12 Zagato - the video The Aston Martin V12 Zagato has now been revealed in production guise, and we have the first video of the new Aston in motion. The Aston Martin V12 Zagato has been on its way for the best part of a year, from the reveal of the track version of the new Zagato at Villa D’Este through pictures and video of Zig and Zag on track and finally the first official pictures of the production version of the V12 Zagato last week. But now Aston Martin have finally revealed the V12 Zagato in Kuwait they’ve seen fit to release a video – sadly, a rather short video – of the V12 Zagato in action on the road.
Lexus LS 600h L Review & Road Test (2011) Part 2
Mon, 07 Mar 2011Lexus LS 600h Review Part 2 With an ‘h’ tagged to the end of its name – and the Lexus predilection for all things hybrid – it won’t come as a shock to learn that the Lexus LS 600h is a hybrid. Nor will it probably surprise you that it doesn’t actually have a 6.0 litre lump lurking under the bonnet as its name suggests. Instead, it has a 5.0 litre V8 and some electrickery in the shape of a pair of electric motors which, in concert with the V8, produce 438bhp, directed to all four wheels through a CVT ‘box.
Toyota Prius Plug-In is practically perfect in London
Tue, 26 Jul 2011Toyota Prius Plug-in - perfect London transport We though we ought to do Toyota the courtesy of a non-disparaging headline after the first interim results of trials of the Prius Plug-in in the hands of drivers in London have turned out to be very positive. Toyota and EDF Energy have supplied – on lease – 20 plug-in hybrids (PHEV) to London businesses and organisations (no Joe Public on this trial) to get some real-world feedback on usage, journey distance and recharging patterns. For those of you who don’t remember, the Toyota Prius Plug-in is a regular 3rd Gen Prius but with a length of flex and a set of lithium-ion batteries that allows users to grab some charge from the mains and to drive further in EV mode – up to 12.5 miles in perfect conditions.
