Fisker Karma recalled over fire risk

The Fisker Karma range-extender EV is being recalled over a fire risk from a faulty cooling fan. We’re not sure how many Fisker Karmas there are in the UK (well, there should be at least one), but so far it appears that there are a surprising 1,900 in the wild. Now those 1,900 (or 2,400 if you count all the Karamas built and heading for customers) are to be recalled after fire destroyed two Karmas in the US.

The 2014 Mercedes S-Class' interior has been revealed ahead of its debut at next week's New York Auto Show. The overall interior architecture is a clear evolution of the current car's, with a wave-form IP and a separate binnacle but, as you would expect from the latest generation of a car famous for its pioneering tech, it hosts a vast array of electronic innovations. NHTSA investigates fuel-tank problem with 2004 Chevrolet Corvettes

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into a potentially leaky fuel-tank problem with the 2004 Chevrolet Corvette. The investigation was launched on May 12 and covers an estimated 33,000 Corvettes. There have been 30 reports from consumers alleging either leaking liquid or fuel vapor coming from a tank, NHTSA said.
