Filters Solid Particals Out of Coolant

Sinister's Coolant Filtration System / Filter Kit for the 6.0L Ford Powerstroke is a bypass-style system that filters a small amount of the coolant on each pass. By using a spin on filter they make it easy for you to change your coolant filter at regular intervals. These filters will remove all solid particles. Install a coolant filter in order to extend the longevity of your cooling system components. Typically you will use 3 filters in the first 9 months. Once the initial 9 months has passed you will only need to change the filter 1 time a year.

The coolant filter should be changed out several time within the first year of having the coolant filter kit installed. The first filter should be changed out within the first 500 miles as it will catch the most debris. The second filter should be changed out at about 3000 miles. The third filter should be changed out after the first year. The intervals may vary depending on the amount of debris in the engine. We recommend cutting open the filters to determine how many times and how often the filter should be changed in the first year. If the filter is still very dirty after the second interval, you may want to do an additional filter change in between the 3000 mile mark and the end of the year. After the initial year, you should change the filter out once every year after that.

Peugeot-Citroen signs £1.3bn rescue deal

French car manufacturing giant PSA Peugeot-Citroen has signed a £1.32 billion deal with Chinese carmaker Dongfeng Motors and the French government to secure its future. The far-eastern firm and the French government will each invest €800 million (around £660 million). Both organisations will receive a 14% stake in the business.
