Car Design Awards winners benefit from Northumbria placement
Mon, 01 Nov 2010阅读本文中文版本请点击这里 The winners of the inaugural Car Design Awards China competition were announced at a glamorous ceremony in the studios of CH-Auto during the Beijing auto show in April, marking the culmination of successful competition. Seven talented students – who had responded to briefs set by GM, PSA Peugeot Citroen, SAIC (with its MG brand) and Volkswagen – were presented with awards in five categories, and five were given the opportunity to attend Northumbria University's Transportation Design course, in the UK, on a two week placement. The five students – Bingyang Hu, Geng Li, Yanchao Wang, Kaiji Pu and Liang Chen – began this exciting, yet challenging journey in December 2009, when they entered the 2010 Car Design Awards China competition.
XCar takes a ride around London street circuit
Wed, 26 Jun 2013One year ago, in the run up to the Formula One British Grand Prix, Spanish bank Santander unveiled a video concept for a London street circuit that they suggested could host the race. The GP currently takes place at Silverstone Circuit. F1 head honcho Bernie Ecclestone said he loves the idea of holding it on the streets of the swinging city.

Thu, 04 Aug 2011New Land Rover Defender Concept expected at Frankfurt Last week AE ran a report that suggested Land Rover were considering dumping the iconic Defender from their range as it was perhaps too difficult to find a cost-effective way to update it. Which we didn’t buy for a minute. As far as we can see, the Land Rover Defender is so iconic that Tata would have to find a way to keep it viable and in production even if they lost money on every Defender they built.
