Porsche Macan to get a bolder look before launch
Tue, 04 Dec 2012The Porsche Macan – the baby Cayenne – is to get a new, bold look before it launches in 2014, to make it better able to compete against the Range Rover Evoque. The Porsche Macan, Porsche’s baby Cayenne based on the underpinnings of the Audi Q5, is a big deal for Porsche. Having discovered that an SUV could revive their fortunes after they launched the Cayenne a decade ago, the smaller, lower-priced Macan should give both Porsche’s sales and profits a big boost.
New baby Jaguar saloon to be shown this summer
Fri, 07 Feb 2014The new small Jaguar saloon out testing in ill-fitting XF camouflage Jaguar has made huge strides in the last few years and is now on the brink of being recognised, once again, as a major force. But so far Jaguar has been producing great cars in not the biggest-selling sectors, but that’s set to change with the new small Jaguar saloon (perhaps the Jaguar XS) which will be first shown this summer ahead of a 2015 launch. The new baby Jaguar will be entering a very competitive market place, taking on cars like the BMW 3-Series, Mercedes C-Class and Audi A4, so Jaguar are going to have to work hard to produce not only a credible car, but one that uses its ‘Britishness’ as its USP.
Alfa Romeo 4C Spider (2014) first official pictures
Tue, 04 Mar 2014By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 04 March 2014 09:00 This is the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider. The powertrain is identical to the 4C we know and love: a 237bhp turbo’d four-pot that can hurl the 4C to 62mph in 4.5sec and over 155mph flat out. So, let’s concentrate on what’s new… You get a soft-top roof to cover the Spider’s cabin, which now features more exposed carbonfibre.
