Ski Doo Elite Speedometer W/ Cable & Angle Drive Rare Mph Kph Dual Sweep on 2040-parts.com
Roblin, Manitoba, Canada, Canada
Here's a very nice looking used speedometer from a 1978 Ski Doo Elite. The outside diameter of the body is approximately 3 1/8". The speedo functions perfectly and you also get the speedometer angle drive (1.14:1 ratio RH) as well as the cable. The cable is approximately 67" long and I think the cable is from something other than an Elite because it is considerably longer than what is required. There are a few minor cracks in the cable outer conduit but it still operates smoothly. This speedometer is unique in that it has a dual sweep needle which shows MPH on the upper half of the gauge and KM/H on the lower half. Odometer reading is at 2242. Thanks for looking........... Saab's new 9-3 due in 2012 to set new Saab template
Fri, 04 Jun 2010By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 04 June 2010 10:13 Now the new 9-5 is launched, attention is turning to the next generation of Saabs. Speaking at the 9-5 launch in Trollhättan, Saab bosses told CAR that the new 9-3 would be the first model to bear the true hallmarks of the new independent Saab since the Detroit divorce.GM sold Saab to Dutch entrepreneur Victor Muller's Spyker group in February 2010 for $78 million and an equity swap – meaning that the 9-5 was done and dusted by the time Saab had become independent. Next year's new 9-4X crossover, paired with and built alongside GM's Cadillac SRX and due in April 2011, is also largely finished.
Lexus goes bonkers for SEMA 2010
Sat, 30 Oct 2010Lexus SEMA 2010 I think we’re going to stop trying to work out what Lexus is all about. Just when we think we have them pegged down as green halo, fluffy-bunny-loving corporate eco-mentalists with a misguided view of the future of the car, they go and produce the LFA. We put the LFA’s existence down to its long gestation period; there is no way Lexus would embark on such a project today.
Passengers are the biggest distraction
Tue, 29 Jul 2014THE BIGGEST DISTRACTION for drivers is other people in the car. Adult passengers are the most distracting, with 18% of drivers saying they have had a near miss or crashed because of their attention being drawn away by someone else in the car. A survey by the AA found adjusting the radio was the second biggest distraction, with 16% of drivers admitting they had narrowly avoided a collision or been in a crash while fiddling with the radio.
