At first sight, there appears considerable overlap with this latest model and the Roewe 550, but the 350's 2650mm wheelbase and overall length of 4521mm is roughly 100mm shorter than the 550. Daimler, Ford & Nissan Hydrogen Alliance
Tue, 29 Jan 2013Daimler (Mercedes), Ford and Nissan-Renault have formed an alliance to co-develop hydrogen fuel cell technology for a range of new cars. Yesterday, we reported that Mercedes has postponed the launch of their hydrogen fuel cell B Class until 2017 and is in talks with Nissan and Ford to co-develop hydrogen fuel cell technology. Those talks have now turned in to an alliance between three of the world’s biggest car makers.

A collaboration with iconic trailer maker Airstream, the Airstream is a concept car that runs on hydrogen fuel cell power, cossets passengers in a flexible and luxurious cabin and looks exceptionally cool. 'Crossovers are the fastest growing segment of the market,' said Ford design supremo J Mays, unveiling the car in Detroit (above).
