Ariel Atom 3.5 (2012) first official pictures
Wed, 10 Oct 2012It's difficult for Ariel to come up with a mid-life refresh for its cars - there simply aren't that many bits to fiddle with in the first place. Still, the boys from Somerset must have succeeded, because what we have here is the freshly updated Ariel Atom 3.5. As the name suggests, it's a development of the Ariel Atom 3, with a crop of minor visual tweaks and some mechanical changes too, keeping Caterham and BAC looking over their shoulders.
Redesigned 2014 Lexus IS base price increases
Wed, 01 May 2013Lexus has set the base price of the 2014 IS compact sport sedan at $36,845, including shipping, an increase of $885 from its predecessor, Lexus said. In contrast, the top-level IS 350 with all-wheel drive starts at $42,595, including shipping, which is 2.1 percent lower than the model it replaces, Lexus said in a statement this week. The pricing makes good on Lexus' guarantee to keep the base price attainable for consumers “by narrowing the gap between the 250 and 350,” a Lexus spokesman said.
LaFerrari joins Supercar exhibition at Ferrari Museum in Maranello
Mon, 11 Mar 2013The new LaFerrari has joined an exhibition of supercars at Ferrari’s Maranello Museum joining cars like the 250 GTO, F40, F50 and Enzo Ferrari. Ferrari boss, Luca di Montezemolo, has opened the Supercar exhibition in Maranello to showcase Ferrari’s greatest models all in one place, an opportunity Ferraristi will find hard to resist. As well as LaFerrari, Ferrari has on show perhaps the greatest supercar in their history – the Ferrari 250 GTO – which was built in very limited numbers – just 33 Series 1 and 3 Series 2 cars – and now commands prices around the $40 million mark, the 288 GTO, the F40 – perhaps the ‘Driver’s’ choice – the F50 and, of course, the Enzo Ferrari.
