Thu, 27 Aug 2009By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 27 August 2009 09:35 We brought you the leaked first photos of the new Saab 9-5 a few weeks back. But today the veil of secrecy is lifted and we can bring you the full unexpurgated version of events: the 9-5 photo gallery and details behind the new Saab that will, next spring, finally replace one of the most geriatric cars on sale today.Yes, the current 9-5 is – bewilderingly – 12 years old, a surefire indication of just how low down General Motors' pecking order Saab lay. SEASONAL PRESSURES SEE MARKET SLOW IN JULY
Thu, 10 Oct 2013AUCTION house BCA’s latest Pulse report shows that demand for older, lower value dealer part-exchange cars improved in July, but the fleet and lease sector has experienced more price pressure. The headline average used car value declined in July, as would typically be expected at the onset of the summer holiday months. Values across the board fell to £5,633 down from the £5,662 recorded in June – a £29 decrease that was equivalent to 0.5% fall.
Help American Dreaming movie tell the story of the postwar era's car designers [w/video]
Tue, 16 Sep 2014The makers of a new movie charting America's postwar car designers are seeking donations to make the project become reality. The film's makers are hoping to raise $100,000 to make American Dreaming, a documentary movie that aims to tell the story of the lives of the men and women who worked in automotive design between 1948 and 1973. The film will be produced by Detroit artist Robert Edwards, former Detroiter Greg Salustro, and cinematographer Jim Toscano, and will include interviews with the men and women who worked in automotive design studios at the time.
