Aston Martin mobile phone concept
Fri, 01 Apr 2011Aston Martin has combined forces with Canadian luxury mobile phone manufacturer, Mobiado, to create the CPT002 concept. Based around a transparent touch screen, the CPT002 phone combines both existing technologies and software with genuine advances in electronics to create a 'realistic vision of luxury mobile phones', the company says. The CPT002 phone goes beyond what most smart phones can currently offer.
Brazilian VW design director Luiz Veiga celebrates the Beetle in art exhibition
Tue, 27 May 2014Earlier this month ‘Luiz Veiga: Tempos de Fusca' (Beetle Times) opened at the small OMA gallery in Sao Bernardo do Campo, Brazil. This exhibition proves not only a celebration of the Volkswagen icon, but also an opportunity to learn a little more about one of its exhibitors – Volkswagen Brazil's design director Luiz Veiga. Car Design News attended the opening at OMA – located not far from the VW plant – to talk with Veiga about art and design.
Range Rover Sport revised for 2012
Thu, 07 Jul 2011Range Rover has revised the Range Rover Sport for 2012 – and refinement is the name of the game. It has a new eight-speed auto ‘box and a host of toys including a new 17-speaker audio system and voice command. Land Rover may talk of a focus on reducing emissions, but ironically the supercharged 510bhp 5.0 petrol V8 remains unchanged.
