Volvo marks 50 years of child seat with inflatable design

IT IS 50 years since Volvo first introduced the rear-facing child seat to better protect children in cars. To celebrate this half century, the Swedish firm has come up with a new inflatable child seat that is easier to install and carry. WHILE this striking LF-NX concept might have only made its debut a few months a go, for the Tokyo Motor Show Lexus has unveiled an updated version of its striking compact SUV. With its bold grille generating plenty of column inches, the premium Japanese car maker has decided to remodel the car’s nose slightly as it continues on its path towards eventual production status. Also new is the inclusion of a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which is likely to feature alongside Lexus’ usual hybrid offering.

2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 gets power boost from the Raptor SVT

Ford is Raptorizing one of its top-flight F-150s for 2011, adding more power underhood to go with the loads of looks and leather that are the hallmarks of the Harley-Davidson edition. The 2011 model is fitted with the 6.2-liter V8--first offered in the Raptor SVT--that makes 411 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque while towing up to 9,300 pounds. That's a monster upgrade from the previous edition, which displaced 5.4 liters and made 320 hp and 390 lb-ft.
