OUR REBUILD SERVICE WORK ON THESE GAUGES IS WARRANTIED FOR A FULL TWO YEARS!!!! TWICE AS LONG AS ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD!!!! Smiths 1969-1970 NORTON Commando 150 mile per hour speedometer (fully rebuilt) and Smiths Norton 9000 RPM tachometer. Bottom faces of these NORTON Smith's gauges are marked RSM 3003/12 on the tachometer and SSM 3001/02 on the speedometer. The speedometer only has 5 tenths of a single mile on it which was 'run in' distance only when it was on a calibration stand. The tachometer is, of course, marked as a 4 to 1 unit. The internal parts of these gauges have been removed, completely renovated and calibrated to meet the specifications of newly remanufactured gauges. The rebuild of these Smiths gauges included the following: The cans (cases) were professionally powdercoated to Concours quality standards. The cans do not have a single ding, dent or damage. Then the insides of the cans were painted with white epoxy paint (the only paint that will not peel, turn to dust) for many, many years. Then the blue, light enhancing, paint was sprayed on the one section of the inside the EXACT same way and in exactly the same shade as Smiths did it when they were built. This gives a softer shine to the light rather than just harsh white light. The correct shade of bright white was added to the needles. Then NEW bezels, glass, upper and lower rubber glass sealing seals, new stainless steel chassis screws (will never rust or tarnish), the internal and external shock absorbing rubber biscuit mounts and the stainless steel nuts and washers (for the mounting of these to the stock NORTON barrel brackets) were added. This set of NORTON gauges is ready to JUST BOLT ON AND GO!!!!. I understand these particular gauges are correct for all NORTON COMMANDO 750's in 1968, 1969 and 1970. May fit other years and models but only you can decide if these are right for your particular application. Shipping is $13.00 within the 48 states. Will ship throughout the world using the US Post Office's Express International Mail with full value insurance and it also comes with a tracking number for the buyer's and seller's peace of mind. You will be able to track the package all the way to you doorstep. You are, of course, also free to pick this item up locally for free. Any returns must be accomplished within 7 days of receiving item. Return must be the same item you were sent. NO SUBSTITUTION OF ITEM OR SUBSTITUTION OF ANY / ALL PARTS ON ITEM AND ITEM MUST BE IN THE SAME UNDAMAGED CONDITION AS PICTURED AND AS SHIPPED. Any substitution will invalidate seller's return policy and as such WILL NOT BE HONORED AS A VALID RETURN. I will gladly combine shipping costs on multiple wins. Paypal is payment of choice but I also accept other PROPAY, POSTAL, etc. Payment must be received within 7 days of end of auction. Any questions just e-mail me. Thank you and good luck on the bidding!!!

Pininfarina Sintesi

Mon, 10 Mar 2008

By Guy Bird Motor Shows 10 March 2008 12:03 What’s new on Pininfarina’s Geneva Motor Show stand? Italian coachbuilder and design house Pininfarina showed another stunning concept at Geneva to follow the 2005 Maserati Birdcage and 2004 Nido. The 2008 Sintesi is strictly an ‘ideas concept’ imagining a future vehicle that can communicate with other cars to avoid traffic and accidents and thus reduce the need for current passive safety requirements – like longer and heavier front noses to meet pedestrian impact laws.

Top Gear Video – Bugatti & Zonda

Mon, 24 Nov 2008

I’m sure you all saw Top Gear last night, with both the Bugatti Veyron and the Zonda F Roadster on the Top Gear track for the first time. Definitely worth the viewing! The Zonda is relatively new, so you can forgive the boys for not having it on the track before.

German car collector re-imagines Lancia Stratos

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

If German car collector and Lancia Stratos fan Michael Stoschek gets his way, there will be a new interpretation of the legendary Stratos rally car sooner rather than later. Speculation and spy photos have been circulating for a couple weeks, and now we have official photos. Italian design house Pininfarina did the prototype, which Stoschek originally had done for his personal use.
