Dear Fellow EBAYER, You may be wondering why eBay shipping charges are going higher and higher. As an eBay buyer, I want you to be aware that eBay has recently changed their fee structure for us sellers, to include an additional, 11% on shipping charges. As a consequence, I have to charge a minimum of a $1 handling fee on everything I sell, to cover eBay's additional 11%! Obviously, they should stay out of the shipping fees, but since they're the only game in town, there's not much else I can do about it. Of course it doesn't end there, afterward PayPal, takes a fee on the total eBay transaction to include, insertion fees, picture fees, listing fees, final value fees, and now shipping charges. Combined, eBay and PayPal on average, take 20% of everything I sell, every month! Further, we sellers have to buy and store most all our shipping supplies like, paper, ink, glue, envelops, boxes, packing and tape. Finally, in order to keep shipping costs down, we have to expend our time and gasoline to drive to the shipping facilities. Once we get there, we have to stand in line, like everyone else, most of the time. So, there you have low-down on Ebay/PayPal Shipping costs!!!!........... I hope you like the products I offer up, and check back with me from time to time. Sincerely, Greg

Audi preps S3 Cabriolet for Geneva

Wed, 19 Feb 2014

Audi revealed the S3 Cabriolet on Wednesday, before its Geneva motor show debut. The go-fast version of the small A3 Cab shares the same widespread MQB architecture as the rest of the 3 range, but it gets a hotter engine, a lower stance and, of course, a rag top. It’ll arrive in Germany this summer, and possibly here sometime after the S3 sedan in early 2015.

Ken Block & Mini-Me – the Video

Sun, 06 Sep 2009

Ken Block & Rob Dyrdek Driving & Drifting The last report we did on Ken Block was after he delighted Top Gear’s James May with his antics in California, but now we have what can probably best be described as a comic teaser for what will be his next big video outing – Gymkhana 3.0. In this video – dubbed Gymkhana 2.1 – Ken Block gets a new sidekick – professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek – who takes to a ‘Mini-Me’ kart version of Ken’s WRX Subaru in a playful drifting and playing game. The video is full of amusing comparisons, but just in case you don’t get it’s supposed to be funny we get treated to the Benny Hill theme tune – you know, the one where Benny gets chased in quick-time by a bunch of be-stockinged lovelies.

Mercedes S-Class production increased to meet demand

Thu, 19 Dec 2013

Mercedes S-Class production increased We’ve reported recently on the strong sales Mercedes is enjoying with the new A-Class (and its swoopy-coupe sibling CLA), but it’s not just Mercedes compact cars that are flying out of showrooms. Mercedes has revealed it’s having to increase production at its plant inĀ Sindelfingen by prolonging shifts by 74 minutes (after increasing them by 30 minutes earlier this year) in order to churn out enough S-Class cars to meet strong demand. But it’s not just the S-Class (as well as the A-Class cars) that are selling strongly, Mercedes are also upping production atĀ Bremen to build more GLK and C-Class models.
