Snap-On Armature (MICA) undercutter.

Not shown in the pictures, someone has taken black marker and wrote "armature undercutter" on the outside lid of the metal case.

Here is what all is included in this lot:

  • The metal case itself, 4-1/2" by 9-1/2" by 13-3/4". The top is rusty and has writing on it.
  • Mica Undercutter Model U-C, No. 6 instruction sheet.
  • Main cranking head, with cutter and 21/32" collet installed. One crank rotates the collet and the other moves the collet forward.
  • 2 pivot undercutter tools, they are different, look at the pictures. I don't know if one is an extra or used for a different style or what.
  • 3 collets, 9/16", 5/8", and 1/2". (besides the 21/32" in the head)
  • Hand rolling tool? (wooden handle)
  • Undercutter support rod assembly? has 2 long rods sticking out of it.
  • Tool Sharpening stone
  • 2, 1/4" cutting bits (besides the one in the head)
  • Collet nut?

I don't see the snap on logo on anything except the instruction sheet

I don't know anything about this tool, so here is your opportunity to pick it up cheap.

Thu, 14 Jan 2010

Watch our brief video guide to the 2010 North American International Auto Show, aka the Detroit motor show. While writing our show reports from the NAIAS, we shot some quickfire video footage of the key cars, grabbed an interview or two and arranged a debrief with Gavin Green, Tim Pollard and Jonny Smith to reflect on their personal interpretations of the show. It's not professionally shot, but we hope it gives you a flavour of the 2010 Detroit auto show.

Delorean saloon plans up at auction

Tue, 06 Feb 2007

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 06 February 2007 02:42 Rare sketches from John Delorean's personal notes have ended up on Ebay - revealing plans for a 1970s 'luxury sedan'. If the notes are genuine, they include 24 pages of writing and sketches made between October 1976 and December 1976. They're claimed to have come from the corporate records of the Delorean Motor Company, which were seized as a result of bankruptcy in the early 1980s.
