Up for auction a Snap-On MT 552 Starting and Charging Circuit Tester. Model Number B. Serial number is 19860.  


Dimensions are 16" (w) x 12.5" (h) x 8" (d). Two large meters, both approx 6" x 4.5".  One meter for D.C. Amps and Alt. Test and the other for D.C. Volts.  Weight 16 lb.

Appearance wise in fairly good condition, as can be seen in the photos.   Not that on the positive and negative cables, the rubber insulation has some cracking near the clamps.

I have not tested this item, as I am not familiar with its use, and it is being sold as-is.  There are "Basic Tests" instructions on the top of the unit.

Team Lotus buys Caterham Cars - and a Team Lotus Special Edition Seven to celebrate Team Lotus – that’s the ‘Lotus’ F1 run by Tony Fernandes, not the Hethel mob run by Dany Bahar – has bought Caterham Cars from Corven Ventures for an undisclosed sum. Which is all very apposite, what with Caterham being the spiritual home of Colin Chapman’s Lotus Seven and keeper of the Chapman ethos of lighter is better. To tie Caterham back in to the Lotus name could work wonders for sales.
