Mercedes-Benz recalls diesel cars for a problem with the fuel filter
Mon, 17 Oct 2011Mercedes-Benz is recalling nearly 7,000 diesel vehicles from the 2011 and 2012 model years to fix a possible defect with the diesel filter that could cause it to leak fuel. Mercedes said it is concerned that a crash or a fire could ensue in the event of a fuel leak from the area around the heating component in affected vehicles. The recall will involve an estimated 6,782 vehicles.

However, its seems that having come up with endless names for its Limited Editions - Pur Sang, Fbg Par Hermès, Sang Noir, Bleu Centenaire… – and even three special Veyrons for Dubai three years ago – Veyron Nocturne, the Veyron Sang d’Argent and the Veyron Soleil de Nuit - Bugatti has run out of inspiration.
GM to keep GMC, Pontiac, exec says
Thu, 16 Apr 2009A senior General Motors executive today denied reports that President Barack Obama's automotive task force has pressured the automaker to dump GMC and Pontiac. Company sales chief Mark LaNeve also denied rumors that GM plans to terminate the franchise agreements of poorly performing dealers before June 1 to accelerate its dealership consolidation campaign. "The strategy we laid out for you [in February] is still the strategy," LaNeve, GM's vice president of vehicle sales, service and marketing, said today in an interview with Automotive News.
