NSU Ro80 to cross the block at Auctions America

There seems to be no shortage of rarities in the 450-car John Scotti Collection that's currently rolling across the block in Auburn, Ind., at the Auctions America sale. While the lion's share of the collection consists of American muscle, there are definitely a few cars in the sale that will make classic-car aficionados do a double take. One of those is the NSU Ro80.

Thanks to our contacts within the automotive design community, Car Design News can confirm that Joel Piaskowski, who resigned from his position as Chief Designer at Hyundai's North American design studios on December 19, 2008, will be taking over the position previously held by Gorden Wagener at Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design. Enormous Jaguar sculpture graces Goodwood

A 91-foot sculpture of the Jaguar E-type serves as a striking centerpiece for this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom. It took 10 days for a bridge-building company to install the 330,690-pound statue in front of the Goodwood House. That is the weight equivalent of 122 life-size copies of the Series 1 E-type.
