Cadillac CTS-V Coupe (2011) revealed
Tue, 05 Jan 2010First Official photos of the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe We got confirmation that the CTS-V Coupe was going to be built just a couple of days before GM revealed the CTS Coupe. And now we have the reveal of the first pictures from Cadillac of the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe ahead of the official reveal at the Detroit Motor Show this month. No surprises in store – except perhaps just how good it looks – with its 6.2 litre, 556 bhp V8 almost defying resistance by hurtling the not inconsiderably-sized CTS-V Coupe to 60mph in 3.9 seconds.
Geely at Shanghai 2011: Geely MINI Cooper & Geely London Taxi
Tue, 26 Apr 2011Geely's take on the London Cab & MINI Cooper Regular readers – in fact anyone who takes notice of car news – will probably recognise Geely as being the Chinese car maker who bought Volvo in 2010. Proper car anoraks may also remember the ‘Chinese Rolls Royce‘, a Phantom ‘Homage’ from Geely that came equipped with a ‘Throne’ in the back to transport a lone plutocrat. It looked a lot like a Russian cold war ZIL meets cartoon Phantom and there was no mistaking it was a Chinese car for a Chinese market.
One Lap of the Web: Winter project car edition
Wed, 08 Jan 2014-- The gents over at Chromjuwelen compiled a list of their favorite car builds of 2013. Number 10 starts off with a BMW 525i station wagon from the 1990s that's received an LSX V8 engine swap, just to give you some idea what kinds of "builds" Chromjuwelen is talking about. -- If you've seen the 1975-1979 Chevrolet Monza V8, you can bravely click on this link to read its fascinating (in a not-particularly good way) story.
