Single Layer Construction. Three Layer Protection.
The Extrema RS-10 is the result of over 3 years of research and development. Sparco has patented a new technology called HOCOTEX® which revolutionizes the way racing suits are made. This new exclusive Sparco technology creates a single layer fabric which has the protection of what is normally achieved by a multi-layer fabric.

The Extrema RS-10 is the only single layer suit in the world to pass the FIA 8858/2000 homologation.

Lightness and Comfort Through Technology
The EXTREMA RS-10 made in HOCOTEX® is the lightest racing suit in the world. At 700g, it is 10% lighter than the Sparco Superleggera which was the previous lightweight champion.

Comfort never felt before: Thanks to HOCOTEX®, the EXTREMA RS-10 is three times more breathable than a suit produced using traditional technology. The use of this relatively thinner fabric (0.6mm compared to the standard 1.6mm) allows the EXTREMA RS-10 to have ultimate flexibility. The Extrema RS-10 has been tested and is now currently in use by professional teams from Formula One to WRC which guarantees improved comfort and mobility in all driving positions.

Improved fire resistance: Traditional racing suits have layers of fabric sewn together with a quilted pattern. The quilting provides air space between the layers which bloats in a fire, which provides thermal protection to the driver. HOCOTEX® creates a honeycomb structure with internal air cells that ensure the driver even more fire protection. Traditional box quilting creates an average of 300 air chambers in a size 52 suit. The Extrema RS-10 has over 60,000 microcell air chambers which provide a 10 to 12% increase in heat protection performance.

Colors and design: The EXTREMA RS-10 logos are 100% screen printed. Custom Extrema RS-10 suits can be printed with colors much more vivid than those available with standard embroidery, giving sponsor logos greater visibility and making way for a new level of communication. This is achieved using 3-layer screening process that makes the colors more visible without affecting the breathability and protection offered by the new EXTREMA RS-10.

Koenigsegg Trevita revealed

Thu, 10 Sep 2009

The new Koenigsegg Trevita, with diamond finish Carbon Fibre This is the first time that Koenigsegg’s visible carbon weave has been produced in anything other than bog-standard black. But in the Treviat it looks stunning – it shimmers in a  way its namesake would be proud of. The CCXR Trevita will – we assume – come with the same bio-fuel engine as the CCXR Edition, as Koenigsegg has told us that this car will produce the same mammoth 1018 bhp, and sub-3 second 0-60, as the Edition.

Regent Street Motor Show to return for 2014

Tue, 04 Feb 2014

THE REGENT Street Motor Show is set to return to the streets of the capital this November, after organisers confirmed a date for the ultra-successful event. After the huge success of last year’s Show, once again the world-famous West End shopping street will be closed to traffic for what is now firmly established as the UK’s largest free-to-view motor show. In 2013, the traffic-free zone was extended to stretch from Piccadilly Circus right up to Oxford Circus for the very first time.

BMW i & BMW i1 – BMW i9 trademarked

Wed, 22 Dec 2010

BMW MegaCity Project i We’ve know for some time that BMW are working on a  sub-brand to launch a range of City Cars under the banner of ‘BMW Project i‘. We’ve assumed that this will end up being a revival if the Isetta name to badge up the BMW city runarounds. But it looks as if that’s not the case after a pile of new BMW trademarks were posted on the e90Post forum.
