Wed, 22 Feb 2012Turn 10, the studio behind the design of Forza Motorsport 4 video game, has produced a video to revealed the lengthy process behind the creation of each car in their virtual pit garage. The video describes each, painstaking step from sourcing of the cars that will feature in the game to the development of the sound of each car. Some cars are scanned using equipment which gives accurate readings to 1/12,000 inch (around 0.002mm) is used to capture data that's imported into software used by anyone familiar with a design studio.
Jaguar F-Type photo leaks ahead of Paris motor show debut
Wed, 19 Sep 2012We've seen galleries galore of Jaguar F-Type testers running around the western United States in camo. Thanks to a leaky European website, though, this first official photo of the production F-Type has hit the Internet. The image shows a trio of F-Types, all with S badging in the front grille; no word on which powerplant is beneath each of the curvaceous hoods, but we'll find out next week at the Paris auto show.
Ford's forgotten T-Drive program

We know that our girl Murilee Martin dug this up way back in 2010, but the wonder of the Ford T-Drive system is worth revisiting. According to Drivingenthusiast.com, “T-drive is a system consisting of a transversally located inline engine, a transmission and associated packaging.” The transmission is mounted to the side of the engine, or the back, depending on how you look at things.
