Spyker Cars to change name, shift focus
Mon, 23 May 2011Spyker Cars is changing its name to Swedish Automobile N.V., and its new Chinese partner, Pang Da, is waiting for authorities to approve the investment in Spyker and Saab. The company bought the Swedish automaker a year ago when General Motors was on the verge of shutting Saab down.
Lexus RC-F (2014) first teaser shot
Mon, 09 Dec 2013By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 09 December 2013 17:00 Lexus has confirmed a new F-model coupe will have wheels, a large vent inspired by the old IS-F super-saloon, and trademark ‘Ultra Blue’ paint. Take note, Mini Vision concept and Corvette Z06… Though Lexus won’t confirm as much (oh, the teases!), we’re expecting to see the hot new RC-F coupe launched at the Detroit motor show in January 2014.
Chris Evans’ CarFest North. Just as big as CarFest South
Tue, 11 Sep 2012Chris Evans’ second petrolhead extravaganza – CarFest North at Cholmondeley Castle – has been as big a success as CarFest South. It may be a new petrolhead show on the calendar, but Chris Evans’ CarFest Shows have been a real success, not just for visitors but for the BBC’s Children in Need charity. This last weekend saw CarFest North try and follow in the footsteps of last month’s CarFest South, which it appears to have done in style, pushing the amount raised for Children in Need up to £800k from both CarFest events.
