Saab deal no longer valid says Pangda Chairman. The end of Saab?
Wed, 12 Oct 2011Saab deal with China not valid says Pangda Chairman Update 10 am 12/10/11: Saab & Pangda have issued a statement about this story and say that the reports of the Saab deal with Pangda and Youngman as being no longer valid are “…based on a misunderstanding”. Whatever that means. Yesterday there was yet more speculation that Saab will be declared bankrupt as real doubt about the deal with Chinese companies Pangda and Youngman started to surface.
McLaren P13 set to arrive in 2014
Sun, 24 Mar 2013The next new car from McLaren – codenamed P13 and set to take on the Porsche 911 and Audi R8 – now looks set to arrive in 2014. McLaren’s plans for a new range of road cars have been in play for a number of years, and we initially expected the 12C to arrive first to take on the Ferrari 458, which it did, followed by a cheaper McLaren set to take on cars like the Porsche 911 and Audi R8. We got the McLaren MP4-12C (which McLaren now like us to call the 12C) followed by the 12C Spider – just as we first thought - but it seems McLaren was under pressure from its new dealer network to get the replacement for the legendary F1 out next, so McLaren switched tack and delivered the new McLaren P1.
Audi TT Roadster
Fri, 20 Oct 2006Following the launch of the new TT earlier this year comes its open sibling, the TT Roadster. Continuing to rebuke the trend for folding hard-tops despite even Mazda providing such an option on the MX-5, the TT Roadster perseveres with a cloth roof instead. Not only saving weight, this also means no visual mass protruding over the belt-line, though like its predecessor the roof adopts a more abrupt profile when raised than the fluidity of the coupe's profile.
