Hyundai has revealed the first images of its new ix20, a new B-segment MPV that will join the Korean automaker's product range in Europe later this year. Following on from the ix35, the ix20 is the second European car to adopt Hyundai's new 'fluidic sculpture' design language.  The new car, which will make its official debut at the Paris motor show, has been designed and developed at Hyundai's European R&D center in Rüsselsheim, Germany, under the direction of Thomas Buerkle. The car's name is said to reflect the new model's crossover-like versatility, which combines functionality with sportier driving dynamics.  Hyundai claims the ix20 aims to steer away from the boxy minivan image typically associated with the segment and appeal to buyers with young families.

Students of Coventry University's Automotive and Transport Design course are getting ready for their annual degree show, dubbed ‘Discover ID'. Already the largest show in Europe, this year's exhibition will be the biggest ever, with 107 BA and MDes students showcasing their design talents. Aside from automotive projects, the exhibition will feature projects including two full-size motorcycles, a Rolls-Royce yacht, a Pacific cruise airship and arctic tourism vehicles.

Jaguar XF Sportbrake - an inside look at the design Jaguar design boss Ian Callum and Studio Director Wayne Burgess walk us through the new XF Sportbrake and its design. We’ve had endless stuff on the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake over the last few months – and even more since Jaguar officially revealed the XF Sportbrake ahead of its Geneva debut – so we thought we’d had a bit of ‘Sportbrake Overload’ going on, however good we think the new XF is. So when we got this video of Jaguar design boss Ian Callum and Studio Director Wayne Burgess doing a talking-heads walkthrough on the Sportbrake we thought we might pass.
