The Speed Bleeder thread sealant is used to replace the thread sealant if you bleed your brakes frequently. You will receive one 1/2 ounce bottle with an applicator brush built into the cap. The sealant I currently have in stock is gray and not the red as shown in the picture.

The thread sealant is now available in 1/2 oz. bottles  so that you can replace the sealant that has worn off over time.  It comes in a plastic bottle with a brush cap applicator.  It is available for $10.00  and can be used in many other situations where a quality pre-applied pipe sealant is required.  A little goes a long way.  The recommended procedure for applying is as follows:

Clean the Speed Bleeder with soapy water to remove any brake fluid or grease and dry.   A hair dryer does this nicely.  With the brush cap applicator apply a small amount of thread sealant evenly to the threaded portion of the bleeder screw.  (Leave the first 1 1/2 threads uncoated. This makes it easy to start threading into the wheel cylinder or caliper without cross threading.)  After it is applied, dry with a hair dryer on high setting for about 1 minute.   When cool and dry it is ready for installation.

Color:   The color of the Speed Bleeders will vary from a silver color, to a gold color, to a copper color. All Stainless Steel Speed Bleeders are silver in color.

Shipping time:   Items will be shipped within 24 hours of receiving your payment on Monday through Friday.  Items purchased on Saturday or Sunday will be shipped on Monday morning. All items will be shipped using the US Post Office and First Class Mail.

Koenigsegg Agera at Goodwood: Up close and personal

Fri, 01 Jul 2011

Koenigsegg Agera on the Goodwood hillclimb We have to confess that we have a huge soft spot for the creations of Christian von Koenigsegg. So when we knew that friend of Cars UK Tommy Wareham, purveyor of all things stunning on four wheels at SuperVettura, was taking the only Koenigsegg Agera in the UK to Goodwood we thought Claire’s Goodwood Odyssey should continue with a good poke round the Agera. Understandably, Tommy wasn’t going to let Claire – or anyone else – loose on the Agera up the hillclimb as it’s a customer’s car, but he did chuck Claire the keys for a good look round, the opportunity to grab a set of Agera photos (below), and the chance to dream… Beautifully finished and oozing carbon fibre from every pore, the Koenigsegg Agera is perhaps the ultimate bonkers supercar, at an equally bonkers price – just think of it as a million pound supercar; it’s close enough.

Porsche rejects BlueSport Concept

Thu, 14 May 2009

Porsche has rejected the BlueSport concept as a new entry-level Porsche The VW BlueSport concept debuted at the Detroit Motor Show in January, and offered the prospect of an economical, fun roadster from the VW group. But at the time VW made it clear that the car would have to work across three of its brands to be viable. VW are obviously up for the project, and Audi look likely to go along with BlueSport with the planned E2 Roadster.
