The Speed Bleeder thread sealant is used to replace the thread sealant if you bleed your brakes frequently. You will receive one 1/2 ounce bottle with an applicator brush built into the cap. The sealant I currently have in stock is gray and not the red as shown in the picture.

The thread sealant is now available in 1/2 oz. bottles  so that you can replace the sealant that has worn off over time.  It comes in a plastic bottle with a brush cap applicator.  It is available for $10.00  and can be used in many other situations where a quality pre-applied pipe sealant is required.  A little goes a long way.  The recommended procedure for applying is as follows:

Clean the Speed Bleeder with soapy water to remove any brake fluid or grease and dry.   A hair dryer does this nicely.  With the brush cap applicator apply a small amount of thread sealant evenly to the threaded portion of the bleeder screw.  (Leave the first 1 1/2 threads uncoated. This makes it easy to start threading into the wheel cylinder or caliper without cross threading.)  After it is applied, dry with a hair dryer on high setting for about 1 minute.   When cool and dry it is ready for installation.

Color:   The color of the Speed Bleeders will vary from a silver color, to a gold color, to a copper color. All Stainless Steel Speed Bleeders are silver in color.

Shipping time:   Items will be shipped within 24 hours of receiving your payment on Monday through Friday.  Items purchased on Saturday or Sunday will be shipped on Monday morning. All items will be shipped using the US Post Office and First Class Mail.

Tesla Model S charging system may have started garage blaze

Thu, 19 Dec 2013

A fire department in Southern California said a garage fire may have been caused by an overheated charging system in a Tesla Model S sedan, in the latest link between the top selling electric car and the potential for fire. While Tesla Motors Inc. contends the fire was not related to the car or its charging system, the Orange County Fire Authority said the Tesla-supplied charging system or the connection at the electricity panel on the wall of the garage of a single-family home could have caused the fire.

The new Koenigsegg Agera will be at the Geneva Motor Show We did warn you last week that Koenigsegg were taking ‘Something New’ to the Geneva Motor Show. We had had a chat with them as things had been very quiet, and we did say to them we wondered if Christian had lost focus on Koenigsegg and been side-tracked with the whole Saab-Saga. The response was pretty clear “Christian never lost focus on Koenigsegg and secondly there are many new developments within Koenigsegg.

This McLaren F1 sold for $10 million The price of the McLaren F1 keeps on rising, and just last year F1 chassis #66 was sold by Gooding and Co in the US for a then record-breaking £5.42 million.
