Nissan launches new Note with digital flipbook
Tue, 04 Sep 2012Nissan has developed an inventive way of advertising its new Note hatchback on its Japanese website – using a digital flipbook called ‘Long scroll, Long Drive, Long Life'. The start of the flipbook sees a couple getting into the Note and as you scroll down, the car begins to weave through Tokyo roads, while information at the side of the screen tells you in detail about the car's features and performance. Detroit Electric delays SP:01 again
Mon, 26 Aug 2013Detroit Electric, the new startup with an old name, said it is delaying production because it hasn't secured a lease or purchase agreement for its manufacturing facility in Plymouth, Mich. It is also talking to some new partners, though the company declined to name them. North American president Don Graunstadt told the Detroit News, “To further elaborate at this juncture is, unfortunately, not possible as Detroit Electric have entered into negotiations with other parties that have the potential to impact our business strategy and timing,” Graunstadt said.

This 81st recurrence of the Swiss motor show not only saw Jaguar celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic E-Type and the first Italdesign vehicles created under the stewardship of Volkswagen, it also heralded a significant step forward for Car Design News' coverage of motor shows.
