Volvo V40 gets new Drive-e D4 and T5 engines

The Volvo V40 (pictured) gets Volvo’s new Drive-e engines Last year Volvo revealed its new, efficient and flexible Drive-e engines and plans to offer them in the S60, V60 and XC60 with a 179bhp D4 and a 302bhp T6. Now, the new Volvo V40 is getting Drive-e powertrains. Both the V40 and the V40 Cross Country are getting Drive-e engine options, with both the D4 diersel and T5 petrol coming on-stream from May 2014.

Cadillac ATS and XTS sedans coming in 2012

Two new Cadillac sedans will join the brand's lineup in 2012, the full-size XTS and the smaller ATS. The products were confirmed on Thursday by General Motors North America boss Mark Reuss at an auto-industry conference in Traverse City, Mich. The XTS is based on the XTS Platinum concept introduced at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Since 1999, car nuts stranded at Walt Disney World knew they could find respite from the Small Worlds and Magic Kingdoms at Epcot's GM Test Track—until it closed its doors this past April, at least. Fortunately, the attraction won't be shuttered forever. A team of GM designers and Disney Imagineers—that's Disney-speak for the individuals responsible for making the entertainment empire's theme parks a reality—have been laboring to redesign and rebuild the ride as the Chevrolet Test Track.
