Concept Car of the Week: Citroën C-Airdream
Fri, 26 Oct 2012In the 1990s and early 2000s one of the most charismatic, brave and forward-thinking car makers, Citroën, had been reduced to the maker of budget, mainstream Euro boxes such as the Saxo and Xsara. The company hinted at its intentions to break free from its mundane existence as the maker of line-of-least-resistance rental cars with its Lignage concept in 1999 that harked back to its past large sedans, especially the CX. Audi A1 S-Line Revealed
Sat, 06 Mar 2010The Audi A1 S-Line - the Sporty A1 S-Line package gets revealed Having had a little moan earlier that the Audi A1 overshadowed the debut of the RS5, we have to confess that we are finding the A1 a tempting ‘Only Premium Car in its Class‘, mini-bashing Audi. We’re more than a little impressed with the A1 e-tron but the A1 range as a whole does look like it will offer the best competition yet to the market-dominating MINI. Audi has already said that it intends offering a range as complete and customisable as the MINI, which will start at the bog-standard A1 and run the gamut through the electric A1 e-tron up through to the performance oriented Audi S1 (which Audi has already confirmed).
Consumer Reports: No to Chevrolet SUV, Ford crossovers, MyFord Touch
Tue, 04 Jan 2011Consumer Reports said Monday it will not recommend the Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers because of low scores in the magazine's tests, and panned Ford Motor Co.'s MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch technology. The magazine also said it will not recommend the Infiniti QX56, a V8 version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Porsche Cayenne. Those SUVs performed well in testing but were too new for the magazine to have adequate reliability data to recommend, it said.
