Our Spoilers are manufactured and shipped out of Brooklyn, NY.

When you buy from our eBay store rest assure that you are buying an authentic SpoilerKing product. Our

products are NOT made in China or Taiwan.  We take pride in the quality of our products so there will not be

any uneven cuts, gaps and angles. Just recently it has come to our attention that our competition started

calling their product similar names as our company name and paying more attention to details of their own

products. We've been perfecting and making sure you get the best quality product from the beginning.

Don't be fooled by imitators!

Why does SpoilerKing spoilers come unpainted?

All of ours spoilers are shipped out straight without the curvature of the window. Once received it only

takes a little warming up under the sun to curve easily around the curvature of the window. Average

temperature is approx. 80 under sun. This will allow the spoiler to have a arch of 4" center to corner.

Now you're probably going to ask what all this has to do with PAINT? Well, it has a lot to do with paint.

You CAN NOT bend paint without getting ripples and waves. So if you receive a painted spoiler and

bend it to the curvature of the window it is 100% guaranteed that the paint is going have ripples

and waves. So that why we do not offer painted spoilers, but that doesn't mean you can not paint it.

Can Spoilerking spoilers be painted?

Of course it can! To paint a SpoilerKing spoiler we suggest all our customers to pre-fit the spoiler. So

basically warm up the spoiler under the sun and place it on top of the window (Without removing the

adhesive tape). Once the spoiler is flexible enough bend the spoiler to the curvature of the window and

use masking tape to hold it in place.  Park the vehicle under a shade and let cool. Once cooled remove

masking tape. The spoiler is now the same shape as the window and ready for paint. Paint the spoiler

and remove the adhesive film and it is ready for install.

FYI:  Since the spoiler was pre-formed to the window shape the paint will not need to bend or flex.

Which in the end will not have ripples or waves.

What's the difference between ordering a spoiler by color code and by vin #?

Ordering a paint by color code is basically getting a standard color +/- 5% difference in shade or color

Variation. This is because when your vehicle was made the car manufacturer orders paint from different

sources. Sometimes this is done especially when 1 plant is on the east coast and 1 plant is on the west.

So to know exactly the formula it is always best to know where the vehicle and paint originated from.

That's why it's better to have your spoiler painted by vin #.  Now why are we making so much fuss?

Who wants to spend $80 for a spoiler that doesn't match their vehicle? I would rather spend double that

and have the spoiler done right. I hate a eye sore. Especially a noticeable roof spoiler.  5% in color

variation can be spotted a mile away.

So here's the deal.  Do not buy spoilers painted by color code only. Buy spoilers by vin #'s. The Sad part to this is

that no one on ebay sells these spoilers by vin #'s. Get the job done at a local paint shop. They'll paint it right and

I bet they'll ask for a vin # not a paint code.

FYI: I have a local shop around me called MASTER auto body and supply. They sell aerosol flex paint for about

$12 - $16 for a 8oz  can. Get your vin # ready because they will not sell it to you with out one. You can email me

 for more info.

VW e-Golf & e-Up! electric cars Frankfurt debut

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

The VW e-Golf & e-Up! electric cars (pictured) will debut at Frankfurt. Electric cars may be a niche market, but that hasn’t stopped car makers trying to take a piece of whatever action there is, especially as governments around the world are subsidising EVs and and their zero emissions at point of use will help (as long as they sell any) their average CO2 levels.

Jaguar XF gets a few tweaks for 2014 MY

Tue, 11 Jun 2013

The Jaguar XF gets a new engine and tweaks for 2014 In many ways the Jaguar XF is Jaguar’s most complete car, and significant updates since it launched in 2008 have kept it fresh and appealing. But the tweaks Jaguar has wrought for 2014 are relatively minor as the XF gets towards the end of its current cycle, the most significant of which is an upgrade to the 2.2 litre diesel engine. The 2.2 litre ECO2 engine is a replacement for the 161bhp entry-level diesel in the 2013 XF and gets revised cooling and bigger EGR valves which have conspired to improve official economy, and therefore reduce emissions (to 128g/km) handily putting the 2.2 XF in to a lower BIK band (down from 21 to 19 per cent).
