Jaguar Land Rover create 700 more jobs at new engine plant
Tue, 05 Mar 2013Jaguar Land Rover has announced that they are creating an additional 700 jobs – double the original – at their new engine plant in Wolverhampton. Back in 2011, we revealed that Jaguar Land Rover were planning a new facility on the i54 development in Wolverhampton to build engines for their cars, removing the reliance on Ford’s (excellent) engines in the process. That investment was to be £335 million with 700 new jobs created in Wolverhampton – and more than 2,000 in the supply chain – but it seems that’s not going to be enough with Jaguar Land Rover sales continuing to grow at a great rate of knots.
Citroen at the Paris motor show 2008
Thu, 02 Oct 2008By James Foxall Motor Shows 02 October 2008 11:59 Citroen is one of the show stealers this year with a stunning-looking concept car that you can actually drive, courtesy of a tie-up with PlayStation. But the firm’s stand had something for everyone, with 34 models including the new C3 Picasso, BMW X6-like Hypnos concept and even a hybrid World Rally Championship car. This was the first car the firm unveiled in Paris and the one it spent most time talking about. It’s a Renault Modus-rivalling baby people carrier which goes on sale early in 2009.
