The new MG6 gets badged 'Morris Garages'. Life has not been easy over the last few years for MG. Or should I say what remains of MG after the debacle of the ‘Phoenix Four’ who took over MG Rover from BMW for a token £10 – and £425 million in working capital to boot – and set about selling off the rights to MG to the Chinese in the form of SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation).

The Bentley Continental GTC Speed 80-11 We went through the marketing reasons a week or two ago when Bentley revealed their Flying Spurs for the Middle East, the Continental Flying Spur Arabia and Continental Flying Spur Speed Arabia, and before that we had the Bentley Continental Design Series for China.  It’s all about keeping the customer happy and making them feel special. And this time it’s the turn of the United States of America to get a feelgood car made just for them.

GM and PSA sign a global strategic alliance (2012)

GM and PSA Peugeot Citroen this evening announced a 'long-term and broad-scale global strategic alliance' which will see the three brands co-develop cars in Europe and, in some cases, globally. Opel/Vauxhall and Peugeot Citroen will start sharing vehicle platforms and components, with the first jointly developed models expected by 2016. The focus will be on small and medium sized cars, MPVs and crossovers, but could in future stretch to include vans and commercial vehicles.
