STAINLESS STEEL (316) Anchor Chain 8mm (5/16") by 10' in length includes quality forged shackles on each end

The photos are of our 6' chain this is a special listing for a customer who requested a 10' length

This is a quality marine grade stainless steel (AISI 316) chain specifically cut for anchor chain. The link size is 8mm or 5/16" equivalent. Included are two oversized quality marine grade stainless steel (AISI 316) anchor shackles. Each shackle is 3/8". The total length of chain is 10' measured before the shackles are added. The chain link is in the European specification style of 8mm (for the chain link size) and the shackles are marked in the Imperial style of 3/8" (10mm for the shackle size). The Imperial equivalent is generally considered to be 5/16" for the chain link size. The shackles are forged, which for load applications is better than cast.

AISI 316 stainless is a premium grade of stainless and is considered by many to be best in class. 316 stainless is corrosion resistant and very durable even in the harshest of conditions.

Daihatsu OFC-1 and HSC (2007): first official pictures

Tue, 11 Sep 2007

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 11 September 2007 10:51 It looks remarkably like a Copen… It does indeed, and at 5mm shorter, the same width, and only 45mm higher the OFC-1 is all but identical to the Copen. In fact, it is the new Copen, just not as cute. But perhaps the biggest changes is the switch from a two to a three-piece folding roof.

Car collector and artist makes you look twice

As with most artists, Louis Carvell simply sees the world differently than others, and his passion for cars and car collecting led him to create a thought-provoking (and clever) body of work he entitled: “Reincarnations: Car Parts ReBorn.” The photographic collages are of spare vintage-automobile parts inspired by, “the dream cars of the Eisenhower era,” Carvell said. “These pieces are art in and of itself. Initially, I photographed them [alone] against white, seamless.” Eventually, Carvell decided to expand and refine his concept and place the parts into surrealist tableaux, to give one pause to consider these objects outside their defined roles.
