STAINLESS STEEL (316) G50 Proof Coil Trailer Safety Chain 1/4" with 2 of 5/16" Quick Links

This is a quality marine grade stainless steel (AISI 316) chain ideal for marine applications or where corrosion resistance is required. The link size is 1/4" or 7mm metric equivalent. This listing is for a single 24" length of chain and includes two high quality 5/16" (8mm) quick links for additional safety.  The 5/16" Quick Link is oversized for this size chain and has a higher WLL than the chain itself.

Every 3 feet links are stamped "316" on one side and hallmarked  "BS01" on the other side.

The chain has a WLL of 2020lbs and the quick links a WLL of 2420lbs. See below for detailed specifications.

AISI 316 stainless is a premium grade of stainless and is considered by many to be best in class. 316 stainless is corrosion resistant and very durable even in the harshest of conditions.

G50 grade Proof Coil is ideal for heavy duty work and has a higher tensile strength than G30 stainless. Not to be used for overhead lifting.

Item will ship via USPS.

See my other listings to save on shipping...after the first item with a shipping and handling charge, additional items (except free of course) are charged a reduced rate for shipping and handling.

Ford recalls 14,737 pickups and crossovers

Thu, 30 Dec 2010

Ford is recalling almost 15,000 vehicles, including some 2011 F-Series pickups, 2011 Lincoln MKXs and 2011 Ford Edges, to fix an electrical short in a body-control module that could cause a fire. Ford told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that modules built during a six-day period by a supplier could be faulty. So far, no injuries, crashes or fires have been reported.

Mini Cooper (2013) tech-spec and prices of new Mini

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

By Damion Smy First Official Pictures 18 November 2013 14:30 The new Mini model line-up starts with the Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper S and Mini Cooper D at launch, with a full line-up expected to trickle through after the March 2014 expected showroom arrival. The new stiffer, more rigid platform makes this the biggest Mini ever: the Cooper, which sits on 15in alloys, is 98mm longer, 44mm wider, sites 7mm higher and has wider tracks front and rear, too. The longer wheelbase means more stability and less of that Mini go-kart like skittishness around corners, as well as more passenger room and a larger, 211-litre boot.

Call for Entries: CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition 2012

Fri, 06 Jul 2012

With temperatures soaring across North America, there's no better time to hunker down in an air-conditioned room with your pen, vellum, and markers (or, more realistically, your computer and tablet) and get working on your entries into the GM Interactive Design Competition 2012.  It's only been a month since the official launch of the 2012 GM Interactive Design Competition and we're already seeing strong participation and a very high level of quality for the entries. Open to all full-time college or university students from across the US and Canada, this competition is a great way to gain exposure, but also to keep up and improve your skills over the summer. With five paid internships (housing included) at GM's studios in Warren, MI up for grabs, there's no better launchpad for your career in the automotive industry, and getting your entries online early also gives you a head-start on the competition by allowing the public and mentors to critique and review your work.
