EXPLORER GPS GX1700 - Compact Fixed Mount VHF with integrated GPS and RAM mic option

The New GX1700 makes DSC easy. With an internal 12 Channel GPS built into the front panel, there is no need to hassle with wiring the radio to a GPS for DSC. Out of the box and ready to go, DSC calling, position sharing, waypoint navigation, navigation to DSC distress calls can all be performed with just a few simple steps. The GX1700 is also capable of entering and saving up to 100 waypoints, which may be selected and navigated to by using a unique navigation compass display which shows your vessels SOG, COG, BRG (Bearing) and DST (Distance) to the waypoint. Mounting a VHF radio has never been easier. The Explorer GX1700 has an ultra thin, compact rear case, only 3.5" in depth or half the depth of comparable VHF radios on the market. The GX1700 easily meets and exceeds all the new Class D DSC regulations. The GX1700S has the ability to accept a RAM3 Remote Access Microphone allowing full control of all radio and DSC functions from a second station. Additional features include oversized full dot matrix display, user selectable Programmable Scan, Dual Watch, Ch16 Priority Scan, user changeable channel names, NOAA weather with alert, dedicated preset channel, dedicated CH16/9 keys and 3 programmable soft keys. The microphone also has dedicated 16/9 and H/L keys, channel selection keys and uses ClearVoice noise reduction technology which reduces wind and engine noise while transmitting. Key DSC features include the ability to ?poll" (request and send) the GPS location of up to 4 vessels and show that vessel?s position on the radio?s display. The 2014 MINI Countryman (pictured) gets a facelift The MINI that’s far from mini – the MINI Countryman – is getting a bit of a refresh for 2014 with a minor facelift to take it through to an all-new MINi Countryman in 2016. So no, the 2014 Countryman isn’t the big version of the new MINI Hatch, it’s a refreshed version of the current Countryman with some minor tweaks to keep it current. It’s the usual facelift fodder for the Countryman with a new nose incorporating a new grill with big lower scoop, red ‘S’ badges for the quicker models, LED fog lights, new alloys and underbody guards for the All4 4WD versions.

Tech specialist EMEA Nils Kremser of Autodesk presented the 30-minute Webinar before a 15 minutes question and answer session.
