Wed, 03 Sep 2014The College for Creative Studies (CCS) has appointed Sally Erickson Wilson as associate professor and chair of its new Master of Fine Arts degree program in Color and Materials Design. Erickson Wilson moves to the school from Johnson Controls where she was design manager responsible for leading the North American fabric design team. As chair of the course, Erickson Wilson will be responsible for the graduate curriculum and will help students to develop an eye for color differentiation, materials craftsmanship and quality assessment.

Fri, 25 Apr 2014The Lamborghini Urus SUV to be made in SLOVAKIA It could be argued that the appeal of Lamborghini stems from its ‘Italian-ness’, but it seems ‘Made in Italy’ is not an honour Lamborghini are going to bestow on their new Urus SUV. Instead, the plan is to build the Urus alongside other VW Group SUVs at VW’s plant in Bratislava, Slovakia. Autonews is reporting that VW are planning to build the Urus alongside the Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7, VW Touareg and the bodies for the new Bentley SUV (they were planning to build the Bentley SUV in full in Bratislava too, but now it will be just the body to make sure the Bentley SUV is ‘British’).
Nissan sales rise, Infiniti drops in April
Tue, 03 May 2011Sales of Nissan brand cars rose in April, but the Infiniti luxury division posted a decline for the month. Nissan-division sales were 64,765 units in April, up 14.5 percent compared with a year ago. For the year to date, Nissan sales are up 23.4 percent.
