Mercedes S65 AMG (2013) first official pictures

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 08 November 2013 08:01 Bring on the ‘too much is never enough’ comments: this is the new Mercedes S65 AMG – the top dog of the S-class range. Set to be more than twice as expensive as an entry-level S350 BlueTec, which starts at £62k, the S65 AMG borrows its powerplant from the SL65 AMG, and comes close to embarrassing the SLS supercar in a drag race. Whereas the new S63 makes do with a piffling 5.5-litre biturbo V8 developing 577bhp, the S65 squeezes in a twin-blown V12 good for 621bhp – that’s only one horse fewer than the Mercedes SLS Black Series manages.

Toyota GT86 TRD Griffon makes its debut at Goodwood (video)

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

The Toyota GT86 TRD Griffon 9Pictured) made its debut at Goodwood this weekend We’re still waiting for Toyota to make a more powerful version of the GT86 (and Subaru the BRZ), but we are starting to get more focused versions. We’ve already seen the GT86 TRD – developed by Toyota Racing development – as a road car limited edition, and last month we learnt that Toyota were going to debut a track version – the GT86 TRD Griffon – and that it would arrive at Goodwood. Now the Griffon has arrived looking immensely purposeful with its wings and diffuser and carbon fibre for the roof, doors, bonnet and boot and some severe fettling of the oily stuff with upgraded brakes, new alloys, mechanical limited slip diff and stiffer suspension.

BMW M5 & M6 M Performance upgrades released

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

BMW M5 & M6 (pictured) M Performance upgrades released Many would think that the BMW M5 and BMW M6 come with everything you could possible need. But BMW want to tempts M5 and M6 buyers with a range of M Performance upgrades to help them make their new performance BMW more individual, and divest them of a sizeable chunk of cash in the process. The new M Performance upgrades are also to capitalise on Martin Tomczyk’s success in the DTM Series, and as he’s now out and about in an M6 Gran Coupe this all fits very well.
