Bugatti Galibier 16C teased in extended YouTube clip
Fri, 27 Apr 2012The Bugatti 16C Galibier was introduced to the United States at the Los Angeles auto show in 2009. It featured the same 16-cylinder engine as the Veyron with the same 1000-hp-or-so output. We didn't hear much about the car until last April when Bloomberg news reported that parent company VW OK'd plans to build the ultra-luxury sedan.

Wed, 27 Apr 2011Team Lotus buys Caterham Cars - and a Team Lotus Special Edition Seven to celebrate Team Lotus – that’s the ‘Lotus’ F1 run by Tony Fernandes, not the Hethel mob run by Dany Bahar – has bought Caterham Cars from Corven Ventures for an undisclosed sum. Which is all very apposite, what with Caterham being the spiritual home of Colin Chapman’s Lotus Seven and keeper of the Chapman ethos of lighter is better. To tie Caterham back in to the Lotus name could work wonders for sales.
2012 Mercedes SL 65 AMG at New York Auto Show?
Tue, 13 Mar 2012Are Mercedes planning a new SL 65 AMG (old model pictured) It looks like Mercedes-Benz has decided that the world still needs a V12 SL and are planning to reveal the 2012 Mercedes SL65 AMG at next month’s New York Auto Show. As you can’t have failed to notice, with a few exceptions from Italy, big cylinder engines are on the way out in favour of more efficient, and more frugal, forced induction engines with fewer cylinders. But it’s starting to look like Mercedes may be bucking the trend with slightly surprising plans to take a V12 version of the new SL to the New York Auto Show next month – the Mercedes SL 65 AMG.
