Land Rover start tease for new Range Rover Sport

Mon, 11 Mar 2013

Land Rover has started to tease the debut of the new Range Rover Sport ahead of a live drive through Manhattan to show the new Sport to NYC. In the last couple of years we’ve had two of the new Land Rover products hit showrooms – the Range Rover Evoque and the 2013 Range Rover – to almost universal praise and big queues around the world as car buyers clamour for Land Rover’s latest new toys. The next instalment in Land Rover’s new model assault is the arrival of the 2014 Range Rover Sport, a car that combines elements of both the new Range Rover and Evoque as Land Rover conspire to make the new RRS the car it should always have been.

Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato is a one-off special at Villa d’Este (video)

Mon, 26 May 2014

The Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato (pictured) meets the crowds at Villa d’Este Zagato creations of Lamborghini cars are nothing new and have been around as long as Lamborghini has – fifty years or so – so the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato isn’t a ground-breaking collaboration, even if it’s an interesting creation, and it’s nice to add it to the 1965 Lamborghini 3500 GTZ and Lamborghini Zagato Raptor as Zagato takes on a Lambo. The one-off 5-95 Zagato is based on the underpinnings of the (now defunct) Lamborghini LP570-4 and commissioned by collector Albert Spiess to showcase Zagato’s ability and to celebrate the 95th anniversary of Lamborghini. Spiess already owns a number of Zagato models – including the Aston Martin V8 Zagato and Aston Martin V12 Zagato – but Zagato has gone a bit6 further with the design of the 5-95 and created a car that looks little like the LP570-4 using the principles of functionalism and rationalism, apparently.

Not every Chrysler dealer gets to sell SRT Viper

Mon, 23 Jul 2012

The redesigned 2013 SRT Viper will be sold at about one in five Chrysler Group dealerships, says Ralph Gilles, head of the high-performance SRT brand. To qualify for the sports car, dealerships will have to train staff, buy special tools and improve their facilities. "We're going to open it up to any dealer who can put the money forward and the training, but it's going to be pretty difficult to hit all of those things," Gilles said during a broadcast interview with journalists in Detroit this month.
