Fiat dual-clutch transmissions are planned for North American products
Thu, 05 Nov 2009During the next five years, Chrysler Group's powertrain lineup will be transformed from one dominated by larger-displacement engines to one dominated by Fiat-derived four-cylinder engines, V6s and, eventually, electric vehicles. Chrysler also said Wednesday that it will add Fiat-designed dual-clutch transmissions in its North American products. The company also will launch its new Pentastar V6 engine on the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the second quarter next year, said Paolo Ferrero, Chrysler's powertrain chief.

Engineers wasted no time stripping the camouflage off prototypes, exposing three other colors on highways in Arizona--Black, Laguna Blue and Velocity Yellow. Cars wearing those colors have been photographed in the wild by Corvette fans and sent to us--the latest a Laguna Blue Corvette from Elliott Gosch of Scottsdale--along with being posted on fan sites such as www.corvetteforum.com and www.corvette7.com.
Audi Confirms New Q1 Mini SUV To Be Produced From 2016

Slotting in below the firm’s existing Q3 model, its hoped the Q1 will help make a significant contribution to the company’s ongoing growth and will strengthen its international competitiveness as it expands into new markets and more countries. As an illustration of the company’s desire to expand, by 2020 its product range will have grown from the current 49 models to more than 60, and will reach total unit sales of more than two million cars each year.
