Has Chris Evans bought a McLaren F1?
Tue, 18 Sep 2012The rumour on the grapevine this morning is that Radio 2 man and Ferrari nut, Chris Evans, has traded a Ferrari to buy a McLaren F1 Chris Evans is known for many things; Radio 2 presenter, doting dad, one-time enfant terrible of TV, creator of CarFest and, perhaps most of all, the most high-profile collector of classic Ferraris in the UK. But the word on the grapevine this morning is that Chris has chopped in a Ferrari – and we don’t know which of his Ferraris – to buy one of the 64 McLaren F1 supercars in existence. If he has, and we’re digging for confirmation, then he’s obviously been listening to the advice a number of experts at the top end of the classic car world who believe the ‘next’ Ferrari 250 GTO (a car Chris owns) will be the McLaren F1.
Lexus LFA for sale on eBay
Fri, 08 Jul 2011The Lexus LFA for sale on eBay It’s not necessarily the first place you’d look for one of the rarest supercars on the planet, but if you’re looking for a Lexus LFA for sale (sort of) you can find one on eBay. That ‘sort of’ for sale revolves round the very strange conditions imposed by Lexus on US buyers of the LFA who were initially forbidden to buy the LFA outright. Instead they had to enter in to rather odd single payment lease deal with Lexus, which Lexus believed would stop buyers of the LFA from flipping the car for a profit.
Vauxhall Cascada: Official
Wed, 17 Oct 2012The new 2013 Vauxhall Cascada – a full size convertible and the modern version of the Astra Twin Top – has been revealed. For some reason best known to Vauxhall, they chose not to debut the Cascada at the Paris Motor Show – perhaps to give the new Adam its moment in the sun – but now we get Vauxhall’s latest model in its revised line-up. The Cascada is a proper full size, four seat convertible – it’s only a couple of inches shorter than a Mercedes E Class Cabriolet – and has its underpinnings based on elements from both the Insignia and Astra and comes with a folding fabric roof instead of the tin-top folding roof in the Twin Top which can be raised and lowered in 17 seconds at speeds of up to 30mph.
