Honda showcases self-driving car

HONDA has shared its vision of the hands-free commute, a car that can safely drive itself on the road while the driver's hands are off the wheel. While the car is just a prototype, Honda says the technology could start appearing on Honda cars in 2020 and beyond. The prototype - an Acura RLX sedan - has cameras that monitor lane marking and multiple radar sensors on the front and sides.

Miko's high performance material with an ecological edge

Italian company Miko specializes in the development and production of Dinamica, a high quality ecological microfiber that can be used for anything from car door panels or upholstery to fashion accessories. The faux suede material is produced from a combination of recycled polyester and polyurethane fibers, and is also 100 percent recyclable at the end of its lifecycle. McLaren Special Operations unveiled a one-off supercar this weekend at Pebble Beach called the X-1, designed exclusively for an anonymous enthusiast. Following a consultation with the client a design by McLaren's Korean-born RCA graduate Hong Yeo was chosen. "X-1 embodies the McLaren value that every part has to have a purpose," said Yeo.
