Kia wil preview the Kia Ray Concept plug-in hybrid at the Chicago Motor Show next month Yes, the Detroit Motor Show is only just about done, but waiting in the wings is the rather less fancy Chicago Motor Show (although they probably won’t thank us for describing it as such). But despite Chicago being a lower key affair than Detroit they will still get their share of new stuff. First SRT Viper sells for $300,000 at California auction

The first 2013 SRT Viper sold for $300,000 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Costa Mesa, Calif., on June 23. The final price made the Viper the top seller of the event. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Austin Hatcher Foundation, which helps families and children affected by pediatric cancer.
