Canada urged to adopt European car safety standards

CANADA has been urged to adopt European standards for new vehicle safety by the president of Mercedes-Benz Canada. Tim Reuss told reporters that if EU rules, which apply to all cars built by European industrial powerhouses like Mercedes and the Volkswagen Group, were in place Canada would already have new, more efficient, safer cars. At present Mercedes cannot import the A-Class because of the expense associated with modifying it to conform to Canadian safety requirements, and Mr Reuss argues that the current approach lacks common sense.

The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe - in the UK sub £60k? The most appealing product to come out of Cadillac since… well, since ever – the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe has finally had a price put on its rather appealing head – $62,990 – and its cylinder challenged sibling – the CTS Coupe – will start at $38,990. So now we have to play the ‘What will it cost here’ game.

Kia CUB revealed: Seoul Motor Show 2013

The Kia CUB Concept has been revealed at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show as a four door coupe powered by Kia’s 1.6 litre Turbo. Still, the CUB is a concept so a little bending of reality is the norm, and the CUB seems a perfectly sensible concept for Kia to be delivering,  tapping as it does in to car buyers’ penchant for funky urban crossovers. Although we’re not entirely sure there’s a country mile in intent between the CUB and the Kia Provo we saw at Geneva.
